View of old Darkhan Drive to Shamur My host dads horse Mongolian dairy cows More horses My room. The green basin is my shower and laundry machine There is a reason why they call this the land of the blue sky The sky is so big here! One of my many pastimes. Volleyball. All the time. Its super popular here. You bring a volleyball out and instantly 10 kids will appear. Guaranteed. My home sweet home for the summer. Aral Rainbow after a rainy day My family’s bee boxes Mongolian cheese… if you can call it that Tending the garden… and obligatory picture of out house Full moon over the hilltop of my village My “bath” setup / how I wash my hair Sleepy “calf child” – as my host sister would say.
Mares Milk Cheese!!! So delicious. Send me all of it, please?
You are a real trouper
What fun! The place looks like a perfect match for you. Is the cheese rock hard? Do they eat the cows or just use them as makers-of-the-cheese? Do they make horse cheese too? Will this be the place we visit you in a year?
All the food has been tasty. The only thing that’s hard is the white stuff in the basin, it’s very chalky. Also they dont make horse cheese, atleast that I have seen. And we can visit this family, but I won’t be living there. I will find out where exactly I’m going to be come August
