Where the Wild Things Are… Part II

So its been snowing all week. The wetlands in my backyard are iced over and  is now covered with snow. On this particular quiet Sunday there have been snow flurries all day. The weather forecast over the next week predicts more of the same.

About a week ago I filled up the bird feeder, and took the time to just sit and watch. Whoever said all birds fly south for the winter, was sorely mistaken. There also have been visits by the odd coyote, and judging by the tracks through the snow, a raccoon as well. I’m just living a regular Walden’s Pond existence right now, which is pretty awesome. Anyone who wants to chime in on what types of birds these might be, I would love it! Enjoy!
